Spring 2023 Recruitment
Interested in joining us this Spring? Fill out this Google Form to stay up to date on Info Sessions, upcoming events, and more ways you can get involved with the Cornell Red Cross! This Google Form will also add you to our ListServ.
Requirements
To be considered an Active Member within the Cornell American Red Cross, all you must do is volunteer with us at least 5 hours per semester. This can be achieved by attending our General Body Meetings, being part of our Service Projects/PR Team, or volunteering at blood drives and service projects.
Moreover, we ask all volunteers to make an account on Volunteer Connection, where all volunteer hours will be submitted. Not only will it make you an official volunteer with the Red Cross, it will also make you eligible for the previously mentioned rewards! You can access Volunteer Connection below.
Additionally, we require that anyone volunteering at our blood drive events be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Thus, it is REQUIRED that you upload your vaccination status on Volunteer Connection or you will not be allowed to volunteer with us.
Benefits
You will have priority access to volunteering for blood drives and you can apply for some of our leadership positions. Additionally, there are a few tiers to our memberships, and depending on how many hours you volunteer you could receive some rewards from the American Red Cross!
- Level 1: At least 5 hours logged – receive a $5 gift card to Starbucks OR Chipotle.
- Level 2: At least 10 hours logged – receive a $5 gift card to Starbucks or Chipotle, a Red Cross Branded PopSocket, and Red Cross Branded Socks.
- Level 3: At least 15 hours logged – receive a $5 gift card to Starbucks or Chipotle, a Red Cross Branded PopSocket, Red Cross Branded Socks, a Red Cross TShirt, and Red Cross Tumbler/Water Bottle/Mug.
*Additional Rewards* Graduating Seniors with at least 20 volunteer hours logged on their profiles by the time of their graduation (Fall/Spring semester) and who have been an Active Member with us for three semesters are eligible for a Red Cross graduation cord ceremony.
